How it started?
48Music started with a dream and many expectations. How could the creative soul of music artists find the channel it needed, to be heard and appreciated!
Francesco Vitali and Christos Siametis conceived 48Music to give talented musicians, performers, and music artists a great chance to publicize their music.
They thought they'd give a big chance to talented musicians who had something to say but through a fun and exciting music game. A sleepless 48 hour Music competition to take your adrenaline to the edge!
48 hours + music + talents!
The first idea was born
A pilot project was launched in Athens Greece in 2010, a small event with BIG potential – potential recognized by the City of Athens and the Minister of Culture, and supported by big name sponsors, including SONY MUSIC with support from DIAGEO and METROPOLIS a major chain of music stores. Media Sponsors of the pilot project were two TOP National TV Networks MEGA Channel and MAD TV and with great support of major Media Publication and radio stations of the nation.
For the first time all over the city of Athens, musicians competed in the first experimental pilot music competition
48 HOUR MUSIC PROJECT ATHENS 2010!
For 48 consecutive hours the city went wild
Athens was transformed into a big record studio.
Musicians rocked, punks screamed, cameras recorded and directors shouted.
The great performers left the audience amazed and speechless!
Talent was everywhere and overwhelmed the audience with every kind of music you could think of, competing for the Grand Prize.
Entries from all over the country were judged by top industry people with the legendary DIMITRA GALANI serving as the President of the Judges Committee. Artistic Director of the Pilot Project 48 hour music Project Athens 2010 was NIKOS PATRELAKIS.
Grand Prize winner was GEORGE GAUDY, a talented young musician, composer, performer who conquered the heart of our judges and audience with his social political song The Absence of Many.
This music party was a huge success and the final was frantic! Competitors rocked it on stage, the TV networks took it live nationwide and took the party to the people! And the winners? They got huge nationwide exposure and a big audience for their music! An artist's dream come true!
BUT we didn't stop there! Actually we'd just got started. We've counted every second since then! “It’s about time” used to be the golden key…So IT’S ABOUT the right TIME and this pilot has grown into an even bigger dream.

The new concept is managed and organized by the 48 PROJECTS Inc. a company based in Beverly Hills, California. Into the heart of the entertainments industry and the place which makes dreams come true!

TOP 15 winners will perform live in Hollywood’s Top Music Stage.
Best Songs will be released on the 48Music 2024 compilation CD.
We will fly the Grand Winner to Hollywood with first class accommodation, in order to perform the winning song live in the heart of the entertainment industry, in Hollywood, where dreams come true, with a unique chance to get signed up, and get big cash prizes!
